Philosophy

My constant and unyielding intention is to create beautiful, approachable, and delicious food. To this end, my relationships with local farmers and producers are integral. These connections allow me to create dishes that draw from the immediate physicality of their ingredients, staying true to the nature of each element and its localness. In the development of every menu, I intentionally choose flavors that convey a spirit of simplicity and comfort. But clean, humble flavors can still be treated with care and refinement and as such, each dish I make is plated with unique and elegant presentation. I strive to inspire a sense of unpretentious joy in the dining experience.

About Me

My career began 27 years ago as a young boy washing dishes in a local restaurant. Since then, I have been privileged to train with some of the finest chefs in the industry. A desire for growth and self education has brought me to where I am today. Passion for fine and local ingredients coupled with thoughtful technique drives me to constantly push boundaries and discover new ideas. My focus is bringing about the best of my environment through teaching and mentoring younger generations. I believe the best path forward to growing our industry and community is to inspire individuals to embody the best versions of themselves with honesty and humility.
